Do you have to use a camber kit when you lower or can the stock equip. adjust enough for good alinement?

it is recomended that you use a camber kit such as ingalls when you do lower your car, and you should also get your car aligned, so you dont kill your tires

you can't adjust camber with your stock suspension pieces.

wat sux about this is your 150 dollar springs will need to be complemented with a 200 dollar camber kit

Well you could put shims/washers for the rear but the front you would either have to get a camber kit. A good alignment will help because the camber isn't so much what kills your tires, it's the toe-in.

i just did this on memorial day, and it took less than 1 hour. when doing this, you are pushing out the upper control arms from the body, so it corrects negative camber. read this site: http://jdmfan.com/technical/suspension/rear_camber/ .

if you have questions, PM me

well i have or will be getting a 94 si hatch....can i still do it? im going to buy a kit for the front but the back is dumb if i can do that this way. When i get an alignment what will have to be corrected when all this stuff is put on? just curious. Ryan.

one more thing, can i easily install the front camber kit too or is that really hard? im pretty good with a wrench so im not sure if i will be able to or not. I also plan on replacing the shocks in the near future...will that fark up the alignment when i do it? it has neuspeed springs on stock shocks and i think that they need to be replaced...i want to put koni reds on it. anyhow just wondering. thanks

you dont need a camber kit if you lower you car less then 2 inches.

CAMBER DOES NOT WEAR OUT TIRES. TOE DOES!!!!

I dont know how many times I have said this.

When you lower you car, your toe changes drasticly, more so then your camber. your wheels end up like this

/ \
/ \

instead of this

Go get an alignment and insist they set your toe to factory spec. The toe is adjustable on both ends of the car from the factory.

I run my camber at -1.7 in front and -1.5 in the back. I dont have excessive tire wear.
