Ok so I took the rocker assembly off to change the cam seal because I couldnt get the gear off. Put it all back together correctly becasue I have done this nurmerous times and when its all tightend down the cam will not turn loosten all the bolts and it turns fine.

Any ideas let me know asap trying to get this running someone coming to but it.

p.s the car was running before I did the cam seal.

Did you tighten the rocker arm assembly in sequences? Make sure you put some assembly lube on that cam before doing anything else.

Is the cam cap torque down to spec?

8mm bolts: 16 lb-ft
6mm bolts: 9 lb-ft

Yeah that's the only time it locks up is when its torqued and I went by the helms manual.
So I tried lowering the torque and it did the same thing.

I'm just going to put a y8 head on the z6 block and see how that runs I have sitting the garage. anything special I should know about doing the z6/y8 swap its been awhile since I have played with single cams
