Hey guys. Just wanted to see what the opinions are on a good sohc vtec cam. I want to use my eg for daily driving and occasional track use. Looking to start building the engine soon.

p.s-- I am looking for a JDM ZC VTEC solenoid for my z6. So if anyone has one that they don't want please lemme know. Thanks--Matt

Does any1 have a spare JDM vtec solenoid they wanna get rid of? I will buy it off you by the end of the week. Thanks

To answer the first question. Use the search button. There are lots of threads about cams.
As for a Mad Tizzite JDM ZC solonoid, why? They all do the same thing. Vtec on or off.

Ryan, the reason why i was asking for a jdm solenoid is because they are usually bigger than usdm solenoids. (Well at least with the b series they are) On the b series, the jdm solenoids are about 1 1/8inch and the usdm are usually the size of a quarter. And because they are bigger, the vtec "pops" harder. I know this cause i know a guy who has a crx with a jdm b16a and he was explaining it to me that way. I wanted vtec to pop harder thats all.....nothing special. But now i found out i have vtec and the ******* that wired everything up didnt wire the solenoid up, so i guess it really doesnt matter now. As for the cams i will search for them. Thanks

SOhc vtec isn't going to make much noise when vtec engage like b-series. Inffect you won't notice it at all. And I never hear for a bigger vtec solenoid will make vtec pop harder. Vtec is vtec, as long as it get the job done. As for cam alot of single slammer are using the zex/ comp 59300 camshaft. A little loud then normal but they don't mind the noise.
