need feeler gauges for valve clearances and a torque wrench
It's very easy. Took me about 30 minutes last time I changed my cam, and about 1.5 hours the first time

Re: cam installation (JDM-97CX)
i just finished installing a cam in my z6. took around 2 hours, but i stopped for a little while to watch the family guy on cartoon network . things u need are a good manual(helms, chiltons...), a torque wrench, feeler guage, cam lube, new cam seal...get the manual first and all the necessary parts/tools should be outlined in it..
