Default Cam install, need help(continued) deltacam 272 on d15b7

Ok,
first off, mad props to jdmsir20
he came over and gave me a hand with my for no other reason than to help out
a fellow honda guy in need.
(for refrence heres my first post: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=659370)
We got the car started, distributor was flipped, so we took it off and put it on the cam the right way. Although I flubbed, and forgot to mark the dist so now the timing is definetley off.

Anyways, we got it running with the stock cam, and it started, and held idle, although it was a bit rough, so went ahead and tried to get the 272 cam working.
he had to split so I put this one in myself. Went in ok, but the idle is much worse, so much so that it'll start, but then just die off unless you give it gas.

I have checked TDC on the camgear and crank, and they line up at tdc at the same time.

any tips would be greatly appreciated,
especially like.. how the heck would I go about fixing that ignition timing? Doesnt the car have to be warm? I'm also a bit worried about running it hard, or revving it, because it sounds like its making knocking noises.. not that I know exactly what that sounds like buuuut...

ANY HELP!! YES ANY!!! WAHHHH

the idle is going to be rough with the 272... double check your timing with a timing gun, and make sure your cam timing isnt accidentally off by a tooth

OK, heres the current situation
car runs with the 272, and at wot it runs good!
but! NOW my problem is that the idle is totally effed,
it tries to die at idle, exhaust smells funny too.
cam/crank timing is ok, ignition timing is MAYBE ok,
its really hard to set because the marks do not hold still(i dont touch the dist and they waver), I have the dist ALL THE WAY advanced and the marks at prolly at 16btdc/18btdc but wobbly back and fourth.

anyways, if you have any tips, feel free to send em my way.
thanks a bunch
