Default CAM GEAR + or -

I have 93 civic with d16z6 looking to retard cam gear to get little more out on bottom end.Have 4-2-1 header,2.5 inch exhaust,venom injectors,cold air intake,255lph fuel pump,aem fuel rail and regulator,auto tran with 3000 stall,tci internels,and phantom grip.Any ways how much retard is to much on cam gear have had many different opinions on this.Its at 3 degrees now.Can I go more or not any help or lituriture on this would be big help.thanks

i have a dohc and dunno much about sohc but i dont think u need adjustable cam gear for sohc cuz u can change the time on the dist...?

already have cam gear.just needed to know how far is to far and smack valves on piston.

Get a Cam then ask where to move the cam gear. until then <FONT SIZE="3">LEAVE IT THE **** ALONE! </FONT>

RUNS RESPECTABLE 15.5AT 87MPH 1/4 WITH STCK CRAP CAM,AT THREE DEGREES WITH MINOR CRANK WORK AND PISTON WORK SO.IN THE MIDDLE OF T3/T4 BUILD WITH STAGE 2 CAM ON OTHER D16Z6 BLOCK AND HEAD.

My .02 is turbod16.com they are the best for d series engines even if you arent turbo yet, they know alot.
