cam/camgear won't stay at TDC.
my cam/camgears on my exhaust side won't stay at TDC. when i adjust it, it slips to it's originaly position. i did my intake side at TDC with no problems and it stayed. can i force it at TDC and put my timing belt on? will that be ok?
the crank is already at TDC.

The valve springs + cam profile prevent the gear from wanting to stay at TDC. You will need to force it to TDC when you put the belt on.

Do you mean the camgear slips after you adjust it and tighten the retainer bolts down? Or do you mean the cam itself is moving after you turn it to TDC?
If your camgear is slipping then your gonna need a new one...
If the cam is turning then just hold it with a ratchet...it'll be OK.
