I have always wondered if that would work; find someone with a CARB sticker/plate and put it on your non-carb legal turbo set up. Engine mods in CA own us

That might work for the average cop that pulls you over, but if you got to the REF, they will run the carb number and look through their files. If it says greddy turbo kit, they will reference the greddy turbo kit instruction manual for your car an dverify every part, to make sure it is the same kit, and to make sure you haven't added anything to make the kit illegal (if it were really a carb legal kit).

If you need a car for testing you should just say that, just run it by a mod beforehand usually they dont mind.

What type of testing are you doing?

yeah i thought about that, but i don't know how nice the mods are in this forum. I've had complaints from other mods in other forums before, that's why i put the least amount of info possible so i don't make anyone angry.

it'll be testing a new filter design, and exhaust. The customer would get a free exhaust for their time as well.
