callin forall 92-95civic custom exhaust idea
sup all..i have a 95civc ex coupe
for of all you who is owning a 92-95 civic coupe and had done exhaust piping and as you all know..that there are 2-90degree bend...and 1-curve at the end to the muffler
my point is...the stock path followed up to the muffler has 3 curve, all sharp ones...and im ready to do my exhaust piping..
Should i do stock follow up or straight pipe down?
have one experience either option (straight down or stock path?)
What do you guys recommend...?
Is it good to do stock path...good power gain?
is the straight pipe down is dangerous under gas tank?
anyone got pic i can see please..thanx all

I bought all of this stuff from Kteller.com and it consisits of 1 12in section of stainless steel 2.25in tubing 1 45 degreee angled piece of stainless (cut in half and used for a turn down to give extra power) - when airflow travels over a swept face tip like this it imporves exhaust scavenging - 1 stainless steel mangaflow cat and 1 25in magnaflow resonator and an exhaust flange. The total cost in all stainless was 215 with shipping
I used to stock hangers and paid a muffler shop 75 bux to weld it up before painting it with BBQ high temp paint layered in with high temp ceramic
This is the same design used by proffessional race cars like many WC cars (minus the cat) and simply cant be outdone power wise. When done just like this it's very deep and the extra long resonator keeps the level way below the 95 decibel limit.
Deleting the cat will result in no provable gains on a dyno when it is welded together like this. Were the cat seperate it would lose 1-2% power only due to the extra flanges causing some turbulence in the exhaust
Unless you get on your knees next to the car you can't even see it and from behind it's nearly impossible and this set up is among the lightest without going to Ti

dann look good to me, so how much for everything?...so weld everything together to prevent losing hp resulted from turbulence?
regardless of piping diameter stock path? or under gas tank? any suggestion at all?

I ran a 2.25in tubing diameter which is about right for bolt-ons and tuning. When I build another motor for it I will go 2.5in but the same design
You should'nt have just a straight pipe pointed at the fuel tank but with a turn down you will have no issues as long as you don't have it butting up against the tank
The parts in all stainless from kteller.com were 215 shipped and my local exhaust shop charged me 75 bux to add the hangers and weld it up
