Default callin all mechanics i need ur help!!

hey guys i got a lsvtec in my 92 civic and it keeps on redline on me at 7500 rpms. i changed the ecu with another stock p72 and i chenged my distributor. When the motor was in my friends car it had no problems.. could it be that my vtec wiring is not strong enough maybe i need a thicker wire.. Its been months like this i cant take it no more i need to go to 8000 rpms any advice would help.... thanks

are you using the stock tach? It may be off. The p72 redline is 8,200 rpms if I'm not mistaken. If you have a data loging port you can hook it up and read your exact rpm if your using chrome/uberdata.

well the redline on the LS block is 7200 with cut off at 7500 so i dont know what your problem is. if you're using a p72 i guess it should rev to 8200. im not too shure about this one

Is your LS block built?

If not, I'd knock that **** out. You don't need to rev to 8200 ... you're just gonna **** a rod eventually.
