Default CAI vs WAI

what is the difference?
i've heard that cold air is better for horse power
but ive also heard that there is not really a difference between either one.
which would be better to put on my 98 civic lx?

No real difference except to clean up the engine bay and make your car a bit louder. I only choose Short intake because less chance of getting water into your engine.

Keep the stock intake on your 80whp motor. An intake isnt going to do anything but make it a slightly louder, while still being slow. Not worth it.

Just an intake if you want sound if not just use the stock one because you're not going to gain much power.I woudnt spend money on a quality brand either I would just get one from ebay. Why spend more?

Me. I would go for the quality brands but like JuggerNaut-CTR said its not worth it for a 80whp motor.

An intake is just a pipe with a filter on it. There is zero reason to spend $150+ on a "name brand", unless you live in CA and need the BAR stamp. Get a cheap one for thirty bucks off eBay, get a nice filter, and call it a day.

My stock ITR intake works better than my CAI did and it was cheaper through HMO. And thats on my 170ish HP GSR swap

OP, a pipe is a pipe so no point in paying out the butt for the same pipe you can get for 30-40 bucks on ebay.

You are better off buying a quality filter and throwing that in your stock air box or on a cheap ebay intake!

Get a SRI, it will help increase MPG, that is all it will do on that motor.

save your money. on an lx itd be more worth it for you to just go woooo then it will for your intake to make that noise.
