cai anxiety
I am so worried that my engine is going to hydrolock on the way home from school today..it has been raining since before school and now school is almost over and it is still raining..there will probably be huge puddles everywhere and i have a lot of driving to do today. I have a byepass valve, but have not yet installed it and am debating on whether to install it or not. I guess it wouldn't do me much good today anywayz..damn the rain . What would be the chances of my car actually hydrolocking today? rain blows

Don't get too huffy. You would have to dive into a deep puddle to worry about hydrolocking. I'm assuming your still have you plastic fender well covers installed, so you shouldn't have too much to worry about. If the chances of hydrolocking are as high as you think then most of our cars wouldn't be daily drivers, because we would be too scared to drive at the sight of rain. The storm hitting you now is the one that just came through here, and my car survived.

Re: cai anxiety (98exShifter)
I've been driving with my cai on for more than a year now, through harsh alberta storms and what not. I don't even have that plastic fender well cover on, and i havent had the slightest problem

Doesn't matter what brand it is, it goes in the fender well for it's cold air, so it works pretty much the same way as yours, even if it's not AEM (which it could be).
