A cable transmission uses a pair of cables to change gears, whereas a hydraulic transmission uses a paired shift linkage. Your car comes equipped stock with a hydraulic transmission, and that is what you should use.

WRONG!!!!!!!!
both use a LINKAGE to change gears, HYDRO uses hydraulic pressure to disengage the clutch, and cable uses a cable.
i think you are talking about like H/F, K, etc trannies which use cable to actually change the gear, but when talking about the TYPE of transmission CABLE VS HYDRO its reffering to how the clutch is disengaged.

ARE YOU KIDING ME?
i have a cable tranny in my 93 its fine.
and i also got a cable to hydro conversion and i love it
instead of using a cable to the the lever arm up
it uses the stock clutch slave cylinder and mounts underneath the arm to push it up. awesome invention.
you get a cheap tranny that acts the same as all theres!

Re: cable tranny (NScivic)
on other hand if you don't want to buy the cable to hydro conversion like i have.
you can just get a clutch pedal and cable from a junk yard from a older integra that had a b-series and put that in your civic.
that works as well

i was talking about in STOCK form.
