a/c works only when condenser relay is removed
My a/c compressor USUALLY won't come on (it will click on once in a blue moon)
I have gone through the electrical flow chart in the helms manual and found nothing unusual.
I notice, however, that the a/c compressor only comes consistently on if I remove the condenser fan relay. Is this normal or am I near the root of the problem?
btw put in a new relay - no fix.

UPDATE grounding the blue and white wire at the A/C thermostat connector makes the compressor come on. Replace thermostat you think?

Re: a/c works only when condenser relay is removed
I had this issue a while back. I have replaced everything except my compressor. ALL NEW LINES AND COMPONENTS minus the compressor. I did this due to the fact that my 93 was R12 and converted to R134a and they didn't flush the system properly before adding the new freon and Pag oil. I tested everything multiple times and it wouldn't turn on but every once in a while and it would blow ice cold when it was on. then it would shut down and my idle would go up like the compressor was still running. finally I bypassed the thermo switch on the compressor...it's a single red wire that runs from the AC relay to the Thermo switch and then to the AC clutch. I've had to do this on multiple honda compressors now and it's cheaper and easier than buying a new compressor.
****YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOUR SYTEM HAS THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF FREON AND PAG OIL AND THAT ALL OTHER PARTS ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER BEFORE YOU DO THIS!!!*****
