A/c with type r
whats up guys.
im thinking of putting in a 98+ JDM Type R in my 98 Civic Hatch.
just wanted to know if i can use the a/c compresser that comes with the motor?
if not then what can i do?

you want to use the compressor that came with the type r engine?, get a 99-00 si a/c bracket. since the si came with a b series engine. try that. I just bought the whole a/c system off of a 99-00 si. I believe the b series compressors are better being that its made by denso.
Dont know if you could use del sol w/vtec bracket. but ive seen people use that bracket with the soch compressor.

paid 160 shipped just a few days ago, GOT lucky at that price and the fact that i didnt catch the dudes thread until a few days later. Prices vary man, usually the average and its a good price is at 200-250, and sometimes theres seller that really want to make profit they sell them for 400-450.

I bought a tegra A/C system previously, didnt know that it wasnt compatible so I had to sell that. this was back in summer of last year.
Before i could of bought brand new a/c compressor, condensor the whole stock a/c that came with my car original from a goodfriend at honda when there parts dept. were thowing it away. didnt have money so missed out and he only wanted 100. If i bought that I would need to use del sol w/ vtec a/c bracket or a crv bracket to make it work being that the compressor was made for a soch a/c bracket.
BUT. if you have a B series compressor I Believe you would need a 99-00 Si A/c Bracket.
Just keep your eyes open on the forsale threads
