A/C question
hello honda people
I found out my a/c compresser is not working, which should I get one from honda, aftermarket rebuild one , or junk yard. does the a/c on newer civic fit on my 92? alright thanks guys!

Re: A/C question (92civic_eg)
You need a compressor from a '92 or '93 because of the R12 freon. There was a switch to R134a in '94 and they are not compatible, but your R-12 system can be retrofitted. The retrofit may be a good option due to the high cost of R-12. Look for a remanufactured or junkyard compressor. Honda wants like $750 retail for them.
