Default C-pillar Bar

Just a quick question, I recieved a c-pillar bar off of ebay and it does not fit my car no matter what i do. My question is does the eg coupe and eg hatch have the same length c pillar bar?

The c pillar bar off of my friends eg coupe is the same length as the one i recieved, yet the bar does not fit my hatch. It is to short.

^^^ This guy is correct!!!

Unfortunately, your seller has no F'n clue what he's talking about.
Sorry, that's ebay for ya.

FACT!:
The Coupe C-Pillar Bar is approximately 2 inches longer than that needed for the hatchback.

So, to make it simple for you...
coupe = long
hatch = shorter

the coupe version is approximately 41.5" (shaft only)
hatches are usually 39" or so. plus or minus .25". depending where you got it.

we sell alot of these.

generic c-pillar bars all share pretty much the same end links.
therefore my measurements are based on strictly the shaft only.
The measurments above are also based on snug fitment.

What do we mean by snug???
If you see anyone rolling with any of these bars installed with the end pieces fully extended out so that it shows about two inches of threading on each end, it was not designed for their car.... LOL!!! we see this alot.
sad but true.

I totally agree with you guys. Here is the email they sent me, and the pictures they sent along with it.

Dear Nicholas,

We tested the c-pillar bar (same as the one we sent you, 37.5 inches
long) on one of our client's EG hatchback and it works. According to
the picture you sent us, it might not work because you did not attach
the seat belt to the car's frame.

I attached couple pictures for you as the reference.

Thanks and Regards,
Max
