A/C- instant frion loss.
Well guys, summer came for me and my 95 4dr ex w/ manual tranny. I went to my local advance auto parts and bought the big shot of 134a frion w/ gauge. I filled my compressor, heard the motor bog down, kick back up with a stronger idle, and felt the crisp, cool breeze of air condition in my car...
For about an hour. I drove back to a friends house and got in my car maybe 2-3 hours later, and it was noticeably warmer than before. Later on that day, it was pushing nothing but hot, hot heat (like the band, but worse).
I have charged it again since then, but still get the same result. From what I can see, all the lines are solid and in good shape with no loose fittings. But it's obvious I have a leak and I need to track it down- fast. It's hot as ***** here in wv and the humidity makes it worse.
I managed to get a UV dye from advance to put in my A/C system. It's a zero-pressure application, so I can't add it to the compression side of my system unless I take out the schrader valve. Which is something I'm scared of doing, even though I'm fairly confident it's completely discharged. The packaging says to put in the oil for my condenser, but I can't find a place to put it.
Any ideas, folks?

if it is coming out that fast you should be able to hear it and smell it.
Buy a cheap leak detector like this one
