A?C compressor mount?
Theres this 'bar' that runs from my a/c/compressor to the frame by the wheel well of my (and everyone elses) 98 civic. it just goes to like a rubber mount. Do I need this? and what is it used for? I keep my a/c in for my girlfriend cus I don't wanna here her b****ing, but I like to take the belt off just when I go to the track to get that extra 1/2 hp!!!
Are there any problems with leaving that bar/mount off just to make it easier to remove and replace the belt?
Thanks

If you dont want your intake manifold in your lap, I would suggest leaving that on.
That is a torque mount. It keeps the motor from rocking to far back under load. You need it especially when you are drag racing.
