A/c compressor blew out the back. Buying an ebay kit? No orifice tube?
I checked autozone's website and they have the orifice tub listed, then when i select my car it says,"I'm sorry, the part for this car doesn't exist in your locations..."
So my a/c compressor literally blew up today, the rear panel on the compressor (opposite the pulley) blew up, near the wires, exploded a seal or something and leaked out all the r134a.
I knew it was going, but now I'm tempted to buy an ebay kit (expansion valve, compressor, accumulator, orings)
What has been your luck with these kits and do you recommend them?
Also do you recommend only buying a new compressor? Or is a used one fine?
I'm trying to get away with spending less than $200.
edit
p.s. one more question, should I put r12 in this car instead of r134a??? Today it was blowing 79 on a 110 degree day.

I bought an accumulator off ebay and it worked great. They have the expansion valves built into them so you don't have to worry about it. Definitely put r134a in it if it's like that from the factory. Otherwise you'll have to completely flush all the lines out.
If any of the r134a residue mixes with the new r12 compressor kit, it'll fry the o-rings really quick, and you'll have to do it all over again. It can also damage the compressor.
So keep it with r134a unless you do a full conversion and flush the lines. A good kit can get cold. My r12 was blowing around 49 degrees at 100 ambient :-)
See my A/C write up thread in my signature for a comprehensive How-To on recharging your A/C step-by-step.

I seriously don't know what you mean by rear panel up it....but you are questioning ebay kits than you shouldn't use it.

Would help if you listed your car and model year?
The min basics you will need will be a compressor and a dryer.
If it is like 1995 and on should be R134a.
I had a good luck with one from Advance Auto, just find a coupon code. It was a new unit and works better than my original factory honda one.

I think 1994 and newer are r134a. It's also extremely hard to obtain r12, it can go for like $80 a pound, requires a license, and it operates at a higher pressure, so putting r12 in a r134a system may not be safe.
If your system is clean, the evaporator and condenser are clean, and you had a good vacuum before filling the system to the correct level of liquid and pressure, it should work fine. I've seen all kinds of junk down on the evaporator. Just take off your blower motor and check, it's not that hard.

An autozone compressor is $250+, ebay compressor is < $150. That's why I debated it.

Only need less than 2 cans per the guides on this site.
Kinda, trying to decide if i should go with r12 or 134a. (Don't give me grief over compatibility, the epa retracted a lot of it's statements a couple years ago. I don't want to start an argument.)
Also does the 92 even have an orifice tube?
