A/C Compatibilty
What parts of a D16Y8's air conditioning system could be swapped over to a D15B2 in an 89 hatch, if any? I realize the 96-00 is an R134a system, but can it still fit on a car that was designed for the old R12?

Re: A/C Compatibilty (RyanCivic2000)
i would think it would work i have had mine convereted from r12 to r134a....i dont think "what parts would work"would be the question i think it would just need to be recharged as r134a in the 89
but im not 100% sure
i do have access to a couple cans of r12 though if u need them let me know

It is not about the freon it is about if the parts will fit or work right
If i remember correctly
Honda changed the bracket for the d series when they moved on to the EG chassis
But i could be wrong

Could just using a the newer bracket be a quick fix to that?
