Default A/C broke Help! 112 degrees here in Vegas!!!

So I have a 2000 civic with 50k miles on it and the A/C stopped blowing cold air. Low and behold I saw one morning laying on my driveway was my a/c clutch! It's only the part of the very left that fell off?

My number one question is, how can I fix this? Do i need to replace the whole clutch assembly w/coil, the whole a/c compressor? I've changed my own radiator in my integra before so is this something I can do myself?? Please somebody. Thanks for your help!!

Was a high of 104 degrees today. Almost passed out even with the windows open. I think it was better with my windows up.

Alright guy I'll try to help you out since living w/o A/C sucks period.

Right behind the clutch (the part that fell off) is a very small washer you have to get ahold of. Once you have that, find the front nut that holds the clutch to the compressor pulley. That's all you need. Put the washer in first, then the clutch and last put the nut on top of the clutch and tighten it all down. The clutch should be installed and tighten to spec with a feeler gauge but usually if you tight it good enough with a small impact gun it's fine and will work fine.

That is assuming you found the clutch that fell off (and your compressor was working fine before that) and can find a used compressor to take parts off of. Otherwise you'll have to swap out the compressor for a whole new/used unit or buy a clutch set from the auto parts store. Good luck.
