Default bypass clutch switch

ok so i parked this morning at the store, and when i came back, the car wouldnt start. no crank, no click, nothing. the lights and radio worked perfect. checked the battery and it was fine. later i tried to push start it, and it worked. lately the clutch switch has been doing weird stuff, like it press it down and the car would start cranking without the key...im guessing its the clutch switch, cuz its also sup[er dirty and theres stuff all leaking out of there. how do i get to the wires in the back and short them or w.e so that i dont have to use the clutch to start the car?seems like it would be easy, but ive never had to do this.any input would be great. btw i have a 95 civic coupe

I've never had an issue with this or messed with it but I will say there will probably be alot about it in the security/alarm discussions...alot of people bypass them so they can use remote start on their manuals...just a heads up on a possible starting point if nobody helps out here.

Best of luck. How much does it cost just to replace it?

There is no reason why the clutch safety switch would ever cause the engine to crank without the key, my guess is you should look to the ignition switch itself for a fault like this.
