Bye bye "civic Ex" decal??????????
Got a 95 civic coupe and was lookin for the clean look in back and wanted to take off that decal that says "civic ex." It looks like its under the paint tho...anyone kno how i can get it off cleanly?????thx

use paint stripper. j/k.
no seriously.. use a heat gun, warm it up and peel. the one i had was just a sticker.. hmm.. maybe yours is different.

urs didn't look like it was sealed around the edges with paint????Maybe that was just on the 92-95s then........

theres a posibility that your decal could have been painted over with clear coat.....maybe the car had damage repaired in the rear section of your car and the shop recleared that area.

yeah..the car was repainted before I got it...if there is a clear coat over it, is there any way i can get the decal off cleanly??????

is the "CX" a badge? if so, again heat it up to loosen the glue, and use thick dental floss -- the generic cheap kind -- to get it off. fishing line works well, too.

for 96+ i believe it's a raised emblem. just warm it up with a heat gun, use some fish wire get it behind those letters, and peel em off. get some goo gone to remove residue.

Yeah, I took a closer look at it and it is under clear coat....damn.....what if i took a sharp tool and cut around the edges where its sealed in clear coat and then peeled it off...maybe I could touch it up with touchup paint...I'm not tryin to be ghetto but repainting that will cost a lot.......
