Default Bwhit's H22 EG Hatch Build

PICTURES ON PAGES 1-4
HOW TO PAINT VALVE COVER IS ON PAGE 3
HOW TO CHANGE RACK AND PINION IS ALSO ON PAGE 3

Hey guys I am currently putting together an EG hatch with an H22A under the hood along with the stock tranny with a stage 2 clutch. I also have stage 2 shop axles (I was going to boost and then decided I was just going to DD it).

The car is currently just spray painted army green. I bought it this way and with the hacked front bumper and rear bumper. Interior only came with the two front seats, dash, and sparco steering wheel.

I have not done much yet since I am in school and work. School is about out so I am starting to gather parts. Since I have had the car I put carpet, door panels, and a new momo steering wheel. I will post of pictures and notes on new modifications every chance I get. Now onto the pictures of the car.

New wheel installed.

Car will be painted here in a couple of weeks. I also will be getting new wheels probably going with some sort of bronze Rotas. I am going with Canteen Green Metallic and I have EK side skirts on the way.

if that thing is spray canned its gonna have to be taken to bare metal, theres a thread in the paint section where a proper basecoat wont be able to adhere properly to rattle canned paint, needs serious love, but it can be done, looks like a good start

It is spray painted, but I will not be doing the body work. I will be taking it to a buddy of mine who will be doing all the painting. He has done plenty of paint jobs and knows what he is doing.

Anybody have any ideas for what to do for the back? I am not putting seats in. I was thinking just some black carpet, but where would I get the carpet at?

Just placed my order for my Ksport full coilovers!!! I read up on them and seem like a great setup for the price. I won't probably get them for another week or two since I paid the cheapest shipping, but no biggy. I don't plan on putting them on until after I get paint and wheels.

Well your language does not excite me. I has no clues whats yous wants to see.
New rule in my thread. If you cannot type properly then please do not talk at all. I don't want you wiggers up in here making your ignorant comments.

And oh yeah I just shot these photos today. I totally forgot to get pictures of under the hood.

The engine will be pulled here in about two weeks to get cleaned up while the car is getting body work and paint done. And for the wigger a project does not get finished in a week.

It's pretty nice. I traded a blown B16 swap and some cash for it. It was rebuilt about 5k miles ago. It was professionally done, but was originally JDM. The guy who rebuilt it put USDM internals back in it so I lost a little power there, but no biggy. I am putting down 160-170whp. While the motor is out I am going to work with the wiring and fix a few problems.

As far as I am concerned it just has the valve cover. Like I said earlier it was rebuilt with USDM internals so it is definitely not a type S now.

I am not doubting your buddy at all, there was a thread showing how the chemical compositoins of spraypaint and how it doesnt allow a basecoat/clearcoat system to adhere to it, it was actually pretty interesting and steered me away from rattle canning my car

Alright. I actually did not do the spray paint the prior owner did it. He will be sanding the car all the way down to zero paint on the car and then spraying it so there will be no problem at all, but thanks for the heads up.

Just got my EK sideskirts in last night. Will be on this weekend and will post up pictures. Also have my bumper on the way should be in my middle of next week. Paint is coming exactly one week from Monday!!!!

I also put a order in for some Ksport kontrol pro coilovers from longobrothers.com . SUPER good company. They take care of their customers very well. They sell some top of the line car parts. Check them out when you have some time. If you do end up purchasing or even signing up let them know Billy Whitacre referred you to their site.

Those things were a MOTHER to find. I looked for months before anyone got back to me. I actually got them from a member on here.

B18cEK. Real cool guy. I payed him and he had them shipped out immediately.

Wow
I was noticing how lame your thread was.
You post your hacked up civic, change your steering wheel, and call this a build thread.
