????Buying parts for my B16b????
So im rebuilding a CTR motor I picked up and Im clueless as to what OEM parts to purchase for it. Do I buy parts for a B16 like a Del sol VTEC or a 99 SI? Or do I buy parts for a GSR/Type R since its a p72 block and the deck height is different from a b16?

Really depends to what you will be replacing when rebuilding the motor?
I think most gaskets,bearings,bolts,seals,w-pumps,oil-pumps,t-stats are all the same for all b vtec series engines, the only difference is the crank, rods and pistons which none can be taken from either the si,itr or gsr to acheive stock specs.
My recommendation would be get a spoon 1.8lt stroker kit its only $1200 bucks and gives you a 1.8lt displacement with a spoon crank, rods, pistons, rings, wrist pins, head gasket and 11.3 compression. actually the spoon parts are infact genuine honda parts there not aftermarket parts, the only difference is spoon buys a bunch of honda parts like pistons and sorts them out to smaller weight differences to achieve better balance and performance, add a set of acl bearings, arp bolts and head studs, new water-oil pump,t-belt and your set. all this with labour would probably cost 3000 but I think its well worth it! you get a BRAND NEW 1.8lt spoon ctr,itr hybrid with 11.3 compression even the pumps etc are new and with mighty acl bearings and arp bolt, studs this engine would be reliable, smoooth, strong and sleeper since it would have b16b on it too! here is the link to the kit

Buy the ITR belt. The B16B has an p72 block and B16 head. The B18C5 has an p72block and a B16 head.
IIRC, you buy the ITR water pump also.
Your rods are allready for a 1.8L. Your crank is a 1.6L crank. A B16B is a destroked 1.8L.
