Default buying a former supercharged motor, what do you think?

I'm thinking about buying a motor off of my friend it was supercharged for about 2 years and the motor has about 60000 miles on it. I've known the guy for awhile and he didn't beat it really at all and half the time it was an automatic. Then he had a manual swap. He has never takin it to the track. I have drivin it and it runs great. i'm getting a good deal on it also. What do you guys think? It won't be supercharged anymore when i get, all of that stuff is coming off.

i'd go for it... but please never supercharge it... and ask your friend why the hell he did it... i'm gonna go with a ek forever guy quote... "there's a reason 99.9 percent of honda owners go with turbo"

At the very least, I'd consider doing a compression test before purchasing the engine.
