Default busted *** engine mount (hasport)

i have an ls swaped into an 4dr eg and i ll cut to the chase driving home from the junk yard my engine mount ripped out of the side of the block( not the mount you see but the one under the timing belt cover that is attached to the block that bolts to the one you see on the driver side) ripped two out of the block and broke one off inside the block.... my question is has anybody had this occur to them. i think that the hasport mount contributed to it because they are so god damn stiff (hasport street version) and they may have backed them selves out due to the vibrations???????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????
How should i go about fixing this or should i just go about putting a new block in and swapping parts!!Or try to fix it first with a heli coil????

You could fix the block w/a heliacoil for cheaper than the cost of purchasing a new one. If you don't have the means to do it yourself, a machine shop wouldn't charge much to fix it.

how much do you think it would cost to get it repaired? i have never really heard of fixing a hole in the block. and do you think it will hold as strong as a new block

It's not really a hole, the bolts stripped out of the block. To heliacoil a block locally, it would run about 75bux.

You might need to check your tourqe mounts. My friend had broken TQ mounts and same thing happened to him.

That is actually a pretty common problem on Honda's, especially on engines that came out of a wrecked car. If it is too busted up to be repaired with a heli-coil and it isn't leaking any coolant or oil, you can have it welded and then heli-coiled. Call around to your local Honda Dealer Body Shop or auto recycler and they can tell you who they use to repair their aluminum engines and transmissions. We have a guy here in Phoenix that does them for $50 including the welding and the heli-coil.
The only bad thing is the motor has to be out of the car if it needs welding. Good Luck.
