Hey, i got a stcok 95 civic ex coupe. Manual. I was wondering how to go about doing a burnout. I'm not going to do this acutally and try to "showoff" cuz that's just gay. I was just wondering the best way to do a good burnout just incase i ever go to the track. Any help? thanks

rev motor to the limiter and then drop the clutch

When you are in your lane, roll the front of your car through the water trench, then stop before your rear wheels get wet, then hold the e-brake and bring thise r's up and dump the clutch, ease the throttle and keep her in first.

The you should roll through the trench a few feet and do the same thing without the e-brake. Then run.

get new tires

im at work right now, but i have some good vids of burnouts from the track, ill post them when i get home. But until then, try practicing in your driveway. Just rev it to about 7,3 and dump it!

try and find a set of stock wheels and beater tires to practice wtih. I used the steelies and stock tires.

i guess u could do this at the track, but that first burnout u mentioned will put water everywhere and pple will not be happy

a good clutch and crappy tires should make burnout even easier

don't be a stunn idiot by doing a burnout with street tires at a drag strip. It's dumb.
Do it if you have slicks.

Burnouts are unnecessary on street tires. Just drop the clutch at 3 grand and chirp the tires to throw crap off them and get them a little warm. If you get street tires too hot, they will not grip well. Don't do it just to show off either...I hate the kids in 83 sentras doing funny car burnouts for 30 seconds on street tires and then running a 18.3

I usually dont do burnouts but if i am just showing off or being sutpid I usually rev the engien to 8k rpm and drop the clutch and just leave the pedal to the floor until i hear it bounce of the rev limiter while it is spinning the tires.

Some dude did this twice at the track two weeks ago and when he pulled up to the staging lanes, bang....broke.

Either way burning out isnt a good thing for the clutch/motor, but I have never bounced it off the limiter just to get the tires spinning. Pull up the ebrake in first, find a little pit of water, and dump it at 6k. Then just play with the throttle.
