Burning Oil, Kinda bad - B16
I have a 2000 Si with the B16 DOHC VTEC and it seems to be burning oil pretty badly. Its really noticeable when i accelerate hard. What are some things I could check besides the rings? Any suggestions on how to find the problem?
I heard to check the VTEC Solinoid(sp?) on the top of the engine by the distributor cap to see if the screen is clogged. Is it possible for that to cause the engine to burn oil?

tons of white smoke?
well, there are only a few reasons for burning oil. beside head gasket...well maybe broken valve seals too, none of them are cheap to deal with...

That's usually something you check if you VTEC isn't engaging.
Most likely the rings, or the valve seals, as stated above.
