burning oil
ok 1st off my car does not have a cat and is running a little rich due to o2 issue.
my civic always burned a little oil but not to bad. i just did a head swap and i am having a little o2 problem due to a 1 wire o2 when i need a 4 wire one its going thru the same amount of oil but at idel with window down it stinks like hell and around 5000 rpm's it shoots a good amount of smoke. my question is is there a good oil treatment out there that could help with the oil burning. i do know i need to fix the o2 but i dont know how to. i am all so looking at getting a cat in the next few months.
*edit* i use oem honda oil filter and mobile 1 5w 30

You say u swapped your head...did you replace the head gasket. Thats one gasket you don't want to try to reuse. Or is the gasket on correctly and your head bolts properly torqued.

Re: burning oil (cxjon)
what color is the smoke comming out the tail pipe? if you are burning oil check things out like pcv system, rings, valve stem seals, ect... also im sure you have raw fuel comming out the tail pipe since you dont have the o2 hooked up. and that might be what smoke your seeing. do not buy a cat until you fix your probelms because oil and raw fuel will destroy the cat and that would waste your money.

i am running my one wire o2 but am getting a code 41. i have p06 and p05 ecu's. with the p06 i get a code 41, with the p05 the car runs but bugs alot no codes. what should i do
get a 4wire o2 and wire it up to the p06 ecu
or get a vafc and bump up the fuel for the p05
or get the p05 chipped

Bad, worn valve seals will cause the smoke. I would begin to look for a new motor. You shoudl be able to run yours for a while longer until you start to consume a good deal of oil.
