burning oil

my gsr swap in my del sol is burning oil. sometimes i can see smoke coming out of my exhaust when i stop at the light, it doesn't smoke constantly. i found out that there was oil in cylinder 2 when i was changing spark plugs, what could it be? compression test came out to be good on all four cylinders so it must not be the rings. i need help because im sick and tired of adding oil all the time and having to smell the burning oil when i drive.

if its in your spark plug hole it can be the lower spark plug seal.

first get new spark plug tube seals and a valve cover gasket kit,if that dont help then it could be your valve seals

you think its the spark plug seal? when i pulled the plug out there was oil on the thread and the tip of the spark plug was really nasty and not clean like the others.

when you pull the plug out with oil on top of it it will look like the tip is wet beacause well the oil hit the tip when you pulled it out..i would replace the tube seals for sure..number one problem i need to do this also...really easy fix i usually put some rtv sealent around the tube seals when i put the new ones in..but this is not why it blows smoke..so you still have another problem if you are accelerating with smoke then its rings deceleration then it valve seals..you might have a little bit of both i went through this crap with my d..try the tube seals. then maybe if time time and money permit pull the head and take it to a machine shop...they can definetly tell you if its on the top end or the bottom.

its not that the oil drip to the tip and wet the tip, but the plug looks like its been burning oil. and my car sometime smokes when i stop at a light for like a 10 seconds and then it would go away. the compression test came out good though, thats why i don't know what is wrong.
