I think it's great on SOHC and LS motors. I tried the VTEC version on a B16 a long time ago, and it didn't like it.

What did you not like about the B16 head package? Did you like anything about it? Any 1/4 mile times before and after the head package? I have been seriously considering it, since I have heard so many good things about the sohc packagebut would like to hear your opinion. Shed some light.... Thanks

Dyno'd at 155hp 113tq with the bolts on's, and lots of tuning. Later, a friend had a complete Gude package sitting in his shop, and I wanted to try it. Dyno results were 158hp, 110tq. Midrange was better with the Gude set up, but top end felt no different at all. With a bigger, Hot Shot prototype 4-1 header, it made a few more horses, but I wasn't impressed with the performance. This was about 5 years ago.

well i can tell you this if you can't have some one tune it or can't tune it your self don't get it.... ihave been fighting demons for about two years my car had 25,000 miles on it when i did the swap. they sent me a head that looked like it had a hundred thousand miles on it. the port work wasn't bad though. but they mill the head with a belt sander what the f@#$ a belt sander!!!!! that p@#$ed me off right there. well any way after 2 head gaskets i found there was a .005's worp between 2 and 3 cylinders. fixed it at the local machine shop for 100.00 and haven't had gasket probs since. that was 10,000 miles ago. and if you go into buying the setup anyway take all your sensors off the head before shipping it to them. and the car better be obd1 because 2 will run like s!@# with those cams and port work...... heres a list of the mods that i have done including the head package........ msd sci plus, msd wires, ngk plugs{one step hotter than stock} aem cai, aem fuel presure reg., aem cam gears, dc sports jdm header, test pipe, tanabe racing madalion and a obd 1 with a custom tune.... and with this the car runs damn good it just took alittle bit of time and tunning with no help from gude!

what are the gains from just the bullfrog cam in a z6 or y8 motor? I am kinda interested in this cam. Is it any better than zex 59300 cam or the crower stage 2?
