Built B20 Vtec Idle problem...HELP!!!!!!
The motor idle at 900 after warm up but when the radiator fan kicks on the idle fluctuate from 0 to 1800 about 6 to 7 time before it dies. I'm replace the IACV/ FITV with a new one, checked all vacuum hoses and coolant hoses, coolant is topped off, adjusted the idle screw, and the throttle cable. Nothing help! I'm going mad and about to scrap the project. Someone, anyone Help!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY MOTOR?

skunk2 pro 1 with pro cam gears.

OEM crank (89 Stroke)
B16 head with Ferrea valves, Retainer, and springs

dude on of my boys has the same problem too and we can't figure it out either everything is where it's suppose to be but nothing... So if ANYONE could help ME and this guy, it'll be great. good luck trying to figure it out. and if we do i'll let you know what it is man.

i try switching injectors, TB, IAVC, map/tps sensor, check up all the vacuum hoses, but nothing. before i had a ls vtec and it was running normal un tune but the timing belt tensioner bolt hole broke on me so i went and pick up this b20 vtec w/ZERO mile and now its acting up.
lsvtec had:
crower dual valve springs/retainers
skunk2 pro 1 cams
skunk2 pro series cam gears
ITR intake/TB
440cc RC injectors
AEM FPR
MSD complete kit
TRY Y header
CTR pistons on ls rods
oem crank
acl bearings
running a chip 28 ecu tune for ls vtec

hey did you ever have every thing adjusted and tuened to you set up with hondata. cuz that will affect every thing. o and also check for any stored code on the hondata.

hey I have a B20 in my EK. to solve the idle problem I installed a high performance fuel pressure regulator. must go from 0-60 PSI. after installing the pressure regulator advance your distributor. your fuel air mixer screw on your throttle body should be turn out (counter clockwise) about half a turn from where it is at. then start your car and adjust the fuel pressure regulator till your car purr like a kitten. pressure regulator gonna sit around 45 to 50 psi before your car start to run right. not to sure on th US and JDM B20's though. mine is a European B20.
