Default Building a Z6/y8 hybrid, got some questions.

OK so I decided to go with a Z6 bottom end and a Y8 head for my turbo build. First question right off which one do I order pistons for and how will I tell the compression? I am looking for some mild compression. 9-10 c/r.

Second the head needs to be rebuilt, so I figured might as well build it with aftermarket parts. How hard is it to rebuild a head and anyone got a FAQ to a write up? Would you recommend me doing it or having a shop do it?

Which timing belt should I use? If I remember correct it's the Y8.
