Default Building a car for daily driving

I have been thinking about adding parts to my car to make it easier to drive daily. It's a torque less wonder and I was wondering what I can add to up the hp and tq in the low to mid range. I am not concerned with peak as much, the car has an automatic d16y8, so I would like more lower hp then peak. Right now I have an Apexi Dunk exhuast, and thinking about AEM CAI and DC header. A 4-2-1 header is the one designed for more mid range power right? What about power pulleys, will they help or is that all peak? I would like to avoid cams and such, this is a daily driver not anything serious.

imo youve already defeated the purpose of a DD. its attention getting and noisy. its your car though so yeah 421 is what your looking for if you want midrange, but it will still hurt your low end a tad. i wouldnt mess with a cai if you dont want to worry about drving it in rain and such. remove your resonator, just leave the stock airbox and arm. replace the stock filter with a k&n or comptech.
good luck

The noise I can deal with, it's the having to down shift to go up a small incline that really bothers me. If I just push on the gas pedal, the car gets louder but doesn't go any faster. Kinda annoying. I have removed everything from the tire well that relates to the stock intake, now it's just the tube that goes out the bottom of the box. I live in sunny socal so I don't have to worry about rain too much here.
