Default building a b20z vtec

ok i know i shouldnt been in this forum but i recently purchased a b20z that came out of a crv that was rear endend. what i plan on doing is putting it in my 91 hatch. only i want to do a b20 vtec build up. now my question is on what head to get i have the chance to get a b16a3 as well as a b17a1 whick was from the 92-93 gsr. i know that a b16 head flows better whish i plan on boostin futher down the road. is there any difference between the two heads. is the b17 head the same as the newer gsr head. and are parts pretty much interchangeable like valves, springs and cams.

but anyways,

all b16a, b16b, b17a, and b18c5/r are the same castings
the b18c1 is different from the other vtec heads
all b series vtec heads are interchangeable with each other internally

edit:
whats the r stand for in your name? it can't be a type r and si in one car >_>

Like already stated the B16 and B17 head casting is the same (PR3). Just the cams are different.

IMO, any VTEC head is fine. Just go with whatever is in better condition & cheaper.
