Icon2 Building 95 dx/H22a swap for road racing - What's the best tranny for this set up?

i have read another post about the h22 trans and it is not quite answering the questions im looking for. i have tried to ask on other sites and have gotten no response so im hoping that i can here.

i am building a 95dx for fwd unlimited class road racing. im hoping to hit around the 700 hp mark with a H22a(i know its over kill but i like to win with a blow out). but here is were i am stumped. what will be the most cost efective trany to put on, do i go with a built h22a lsd trans or do a h2b and run a built b18c5 trans.

before i get told i understand that to hit 700+hp is alot of work and no i do not want to run a k motor. it seems that every time i try to get the information that i am looking for all i get is put a k24 in but i just dont want to lol. im also looking for any part information that yall can give to me on the actual motor build.

also if yall have any advice for the moment i have a d15b7 in the car now with a stage 1 cam, custom exhaust, intake, chiped ecu and d16z6 tb. i have the good old honda idle jump and have replaced the tps fiv and tested the vacume lines intake welds iacv and am not pulling any codes. the next step im doing is and adjustable cam gear new timing belt and under drive pulley set. does any one have any advice as to how to fix this. it is anoying as hell sitting at a stop light and hearing your car jump idle from 1000 to 1600.

well first of I would say if you building a h22a for high power make sure and sleeve it and im sure you aware of this already. and I would use a stock h22a tranny with a aftermarket LSD not oem, cause it will break. Keep in my mind that you will have to improve on the axels for that horse power goal, I recommend Gator axels or driveshaft shop. They both great company's and works well. As for the idle issue you have, well i'm not a single cam person so can't really help you there, but i do know that the IAC valve in the B-series is usually the problem you may check that out....good luck.

The idle will bounce if you have a vacuum leak or if your IACV is clogged.
I would say go with the H22A tranny. And are you sure you will get traction with 700HP on a road racing course? It really seems like its too much. And too much power with not enough grip makes you slower..

D15b7 idle problem - also check the coolant level and bleed the cooling system. Have you tested the ECT sensor?
