I'd suggest a sr20 swap (they'll pull a premium right about now though--race wars, you know?) , some naws, and vtec controllers... of course, headers and a turbo too</TD></TR></TABLE>
with that set up no one at the track will be able to touch you.
just make sure you bolt down the floor boards real good so they don't fly off.

Unceasing Measure
Advice:
Tein Type-Flex suspension, Comptech rear swaybar/tiebar combo, GSR front and rear disc brakes with brake booster and M/C, eBay strut braces, K20A2 engine, boltons, stripped, good driver.
Bam. WinnAr.
EDIT: and splurge on a rediculously cool helmet. You're not a badass enough without an AGV helmet with a pivoting jaw-guard.

Re: build up 92 hb (ek4hatch)
if you are serious..... look up the HONDA CHALLENGE. it'll have all the technical specs you can do to your car. it is pretty competitive, with RICHBOY 45 year old racers...
but if you enter in the proper class for your budget, you can compete with everyone else. their are a few restrictions with honda challenge, so better read the rules before you build a car with parts that might be 'illegal' or useless.

Re: build up 92 hb (STREETWERKZ)
STREETWERKZ is kinda on the righ ttrack. Here are some things I'd consider if I were you.
1. Have you ever driven a car on track? If not, why not start there first. All you need is a mechanically sound car, good tires, hi-temp brake fluid, and a helmet. Spend the money to get on track and check it out.
2. Why spend money if you don't have to! A lot of guys get caught by the "track bug" and spend a lot of dough on a car only to make it less and less streetable. I know cause I was one of them. You can be very-very fast with a stock engine car. More than enough to get yourself in trouble. Tires are your best buy. Brake pads after that. Once you learn to drive, start investing in the parts you want/need.
3. Do you aspirations to race? Better get on track first before you answer this. This is not a cheap hobby, ask anyone in the RR forum. You need to build the car for specific classes and the class you choose directly translate into cash spent needed to be competitive. Remember, the faster you go the faster stuff wears out and breaks.
You didn't list a location but search for driving schools in your area and go watch one. The more you can learn now, the less money you'll spend to get it right the first time.
You want a track car...here is the cheap route.
Stock HB (you didn't specify model, but doesn't matter)
Change the oil & tranny fluid
Use high perf. brake fluid
Buy some good brake pads
Extra set of 15" OE wheels (lots of rubber choice in this size)
Good tire set (Azenis are cheap)
Buy/Borrow a helmet.
Track time = Priceless. Expect to spend $250 - $500 for a 2 day school outside of the "wear items". mentioned above.
