Threads for cam cap all stripped, dont know what to do
The threads on my lower passenger side camshaft cap are done, which means I can't tighten my valve cover which means a constant oil leak. Honda doesnt sell this part, where can I possibly get this? Does any other vtec head share the same part??
It is the cam cap closest to the vtec solenoid for a B16A2 head.
The part is circled in the diagram below

go to a junkyard? or find another junk head and take it off that one.. make sure its the same head, i think different b series heads use different cam caps

Outer Bolts are M6 x 1.0. Heli-coil kit would fix it easily!
$42 and your done!

Even if you take one off another identical head they still aren't the same, when the head is cast the holes aren't there, the cam caps are bolted on and then the head is line bored, if you mix and match cam caps you'll have an oval hole and you will have abnormal wear unless you get it line bored. Try to fix what you've got with a helicoil or threaded insert.

All I did was replace the cap. I had 3 caps stripped on my ZC found a junk head pulled it all out and replaced it with new ones. Head was 20bucks...

Install helicoils taking care not to get metal shavings in your engine (plug and cover everything with rags. Make sure you drill/tap square and centered. Some type of jig may be advisable. You may have to drill deeper than the original hole. Make sure you have clearance for that.
In the future use an appropriate torque wrench (inch lb.) and tighten to spec. Aluminium is soft metal, cam cap bolts are hard metal. The different rates of heat expansion will also fatigue the aluminium threads.
Use the original cam caps.
