Default Build progressing - need B16A head experience

I hope that I am posting this in the correct section...

I have a '94 EG Civic 4door that came standard with a LS motor(B18B3) here in South Africa. I have been doing bits & pieces on her since purchase in 2007, but with the ridiculous prices of parts here, this has been rather slow unfortunately. I am currently in the processes of doing my LSVTEC build, but it is happening in stages & I have just completed the bottom end.

Current Setup:
LS Block
Wiseco K566M815 pistons (81.5mm)
Eagle ESP H-Beam rods
ACL Bearings (race series)
B16 Oil Pump
B16 Water Pump
GSR cam belt
Stock P75 head

Now I have just acquired a ported B16A cylinder head and need some advice on putting the right combonation together. I use the car every day to work & back and occasionally throw it around the track, so it needs to be driveable, yet fun.

My thoughts:
Blox 68mm T/B
Blox Intake Manifold
Thermal intake gasket
Supertech/Blox springs, retainers & valves (stock size)
Crower 63403 / Buddy Club Spec 4 cams
Blox Adjustable Cam Gears

With the B16A head on my block setup I should be in the region of 12:1 CR, so please bare this in mind.

All opinions are welcomed, this will be a costly step & don't want to regret it. My block was also costly, but already enjoying every moment of it! Thanks

T.T.T

The car has been tuned since the bottom end was done & will be tuned again when the built head gets bolted on. Will possibly put the car on a trailer to transport to the dyno after the head goes on.

Can anybody give me some insight into the possible parts list that is going into the head - dont wanna go backwards.

Cheers

Ok, I have decided against the Blox Racing intake manifold & valvetrain. Will probably go for the Skunk2 Pro Series intake manifold and then the valvetrain will depend on which cams I go for.
The B16 head that I have has some aggressive intake porting so it is rather difficult to decide on cams...
Looking at stage 2 in the following brands:
Skunk2 Pro Series
Skunk2 Tuner Series
Brian Crower
Buddy Club

id say go with an edelbrock IM.

otherwise you look pretty set. just super tune.

knowing bisi killed it in a single, id like to find more people trying it on a dual.

Honda250 brings up a good point, why not look at our organization as an option? Like Honda250 said, there have been indepedent tests in order to achieve non fluffed results.

Bearing that in mind, if you wanted a level 2 cam I could definitely work something out for you! Shoot me a pm or an email!

Serious old thread revival here...

Thanks for the reply Randy. Since my last post, it has been madness my side.

The LSVTEC was completed and half the plans did not happen due to finances... Bottom end stayed as previously mentioned, but the head was completed as follows:

Port & Polish
Omni Power Flat Valves
Brian Crower Valvetrain (steel)
Adjustable cam gears
OEM intake manifold
OEM throttle body
OEM B16A camshafts

I had a set of Brian Crower stage 3's with the valvetrain, but there was not enough clearance in the motor to consider the 12.6mm of lift in VTEC. Now looking at which will be the best suited camshaft for this setup (driving me a little crazy though).

I had it tuned early Jan 2013 on at a hub dyno on Crome, by the only local tuner to have been through EFI University.
Made 140whp & 138Nm at an altitude of 5700ft above sea level.

The car is amazing to drive & pulls hard, but the right camshafts & a retune, will set this build apart from other locals IMHO. My debate is over OEM CTR, S2 T1/T2, Buddy Club Spec 3+ and any other option really.... Just trying to find the right spec to compliment the motor.
