What is your intended goal for the device? VTEC controllers themselves are not terribly useful units.

the car doesnt have the p28 computer. the dx computer runs the car but doesnt run the vtec so we just want to get the vtec into the mix before we really start playing with it. adding power adders and such.

You probably won't feel anything, because it will still be running the first cam map for ignition and fuel. You will just be leaning the engine when you hit vtec with the controler.
Not much power adder there.
just invest in a p28

With VTEC CONTROLLER you decide at what RPM you want your vtec, but you need to do other important stuff for feel it .

you have to change the fuel map, you can actually lean out your motor and cause some damage if not done properly. on the other hand i believe the spoon vtec controller will make adjustments for you and you can buy them used fairly cheap but def not in the price range of the buddy club unit
