Buddy Club Vcon??
i just wanted to know if anybody has used this part. im thinking about getting it because its cheap an it does the job. I have a 98 civic ex everytime i shift after taking it to redline it drops down to about 5k but vtec doesnt hit till 5500 so i want to lower it, you think this is a good investment or should i just save money. thanks

It's not a bad investment as long as you dont want to do something like dropping it below about 5000rpm on that motor, it would be just a waste of time. The gain in the end will probably be 1-3hp with the right rpm crossover on the D16Y8. Set it too low and you'll just create spots in the rpm range where you will actually lose hp/tq and the car might even bog down a bit. So play around a bit and figure out what works best, although obviously a dyno would be easiest way to check that.
If you wanted to get serious about tuning your car I would get an OBD2-OBD1 conversion harness and get a P28, chip it, then you have endless possibilities of how and what you can tune.
