Broken Valve Cover Stud
So today I was putting my valve cover back on when the nut snapped right off. Questions is basically how do I fix this? I seen people talking about this EZ off thing but I have no clue what that is. Thanks alot for the help.

An EZ Out is a type of drill bit that is used to back out stripped/broken screws/bolts. correct me if im wrong. you can usually find em at your local tool hardware store. so get an ez out, back out the stud and replace them with new ones. gl

have you pulled the valve cover off yet? the bolt might be sticking out just enough to get a vice grip and twist it off.

Re: Broken Valve Cover Stud (Chef Andre)
Those valve cover studs are only meant to take like 7ftlbs at least on my b18, not sure what the specs are for your motor. Get yourself a torque wrench, a new stud, a new nut, and I would replace the seal as well if your taking the valve cover off. You can take the stud out with a pair of vice grips, it just unscrews and you screw a new one in. Go here http://spoonhonda.com/index_mozilla.htm download the service manual for your car and get the torque specs.

Re: Broken Valve Cover Stud (p2592b)
Thanks for the info guys. Yeah it just broke on top of the valve cover so it should be a real easy fix according to you guys. I'm gonna go to Honda and order some parts tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes.
