Broken Torque Mount, bolts won't come out?

Broken Torque Mount, bolts won't come out?
I went to check out my broken mount today; not only is the rubber not even there, but I can't even get it off of the car. I broke #9 on the diagram below. One bolt spins freely around in circles, not getting any tighter or looser. Then, the other bolt, the part that snapped on the metal mount, is stuck and i can't even get it to budge. My car did come from Michigan so it is pretty rusty, but my question is: Is there a nut inside of the frame that came undone? Any help is appreciated.

there is a nut inside the frame thats welded you must have broken that weld loose when you tried to impact it off...the same happened to me with my ek hatch...i beleive i did it strait gangsta and welded the mount to the frame because i didnt wanna cut a hole in my frame to reweld the nut there...

same happened to me too. i used a circle cut to cut 2 holes big enough to get a chizel in there and pounded the welded nut off on each 1, them i cut a piece or 1/4" steel and drilled 2 holes in it, put it in through the hole and put 2 new bolts through that and 2 new nuts on the bottom with locktite. worked good and i was worried about cutting the holes in the frame but they werent very big, maybe 1 1/4" across or so. worked for me and it only happened to the drivers side 1 for some reason

Re: (AThiker)
take a hole saw, cut it the size of a 17 mm socket, cut hole directly above the bolt in the upper frame rail, drill down through, put on 17 mm socket on nut, use impact on bottom bolt and whala, put on new nut and tighten down from top and bottom

And that kids is why you DO NOT use an impact on every bolt on the car. Honestly I didn't use an impact or air ratchet for anything except the big *** bolts on the mounts last time I did a swap. Broken bolts really suck.

The bolts didn't break when I was taking them out. I noticed my motor moving a lot, so when I checked over my mounts, I realized the mount was totally broken.

First use a wrench.. if you cant, use a socket, and if you cant THEN use impact.
dont be lazy...

these bolts dont break, they either strip out on the heads, or they break off the welds on the nut, ive yet to break the welds lose with an impacts, and ive probably taken over 200 torque mounts off in past cpl years

Re: (schlit)
thats a little weird that this has happened to so many poeple??
are you letting pressure off the mounts before attempting to pull the bolts??
My mounts have been taken off and replaced twice and this never occured.
I am not sayin bolts don't snap or f**k up.
and who welded their tranny mount to the frame?? hope you have a strong transmission.
...and you shouldn't use an impact gun on everything. why do they make standard tools??

in my case i used a ratched and deep socket and i thought it was just turning hard till i heard a pop and it turned freely, i had the motor out nad was in the engine bay when it happend, maybe its a flaw with these mounts? either way i didnt use impact at all on it and there was no load on the mounts and it still broke
