The Car, 92 vx hatch.I mainly bought the car for a shell for a swap but for now I am trying to get the stock motor running. The guy who had it before me tried to put a 94 SI head on but could not get it running right, so he put all the stock parts back on but it runs like ****. When its cold it cranks and idles fine. When it starts warming up it it wont rev higher than 3000 rpm then dies. It does not through any codes and the timing is dead on. I am stumped any help would be great.Thanks

I was told it may be the head gasket not sealed right. Anyone

pull the dipstick-does the oil look milky?with the rad cap off and car running,are there constantly bubbles coming up to the filler neck?if you have a compression gauge,check all the cylinders,let us know what you find.

check all the vacuum lines.
also make sure that the CEL light actually works.

Checked all vac lines, and the CEL does work. Got to check the oil tomorrow the Henessey has attacked
