Default broke some stuff... need help

i've broken the studs on the portion where you install a header/exhaust manifold. i purchased something like the EZ-out i read about but the thing is, how the heck am i supposed to use it? a drill will not fit in there and i do not have air tools (air rachet)

That sucks! Is there anything left sticking out of the head or did it break inside the head?

I'm just wondering if there's enough sticking out to get a pair of vice-grip pliers on it and twist it out. It's happened to me before too and the pliers saved my life. They say to always replace those studs and nuts with new ones becuase they get pretty stressed from heating up and cooling down all day. Now i know why.

i'd just go grab some new ones if you can. Another thig you could try is to somehow cut a slot into the stud so that you can use a slotted screwdriver bit to twist it out. Maybe a hacksaw blade or something.

if a new pair of vice-grips don't do it <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by coquitlamEG &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i'd just go grab some new ones if you can. I actually have a grinder with a cutting disc that would actually fit in there. Almost chopped off a finger last time.
