broke hose removal
i am trying to remove the end of the hose not connected to the caliper. that has already been removed and new washers are in place. i have tried to remove the other end and it just keeps spinning when i try to brake it free. i have tried using wrenches to lock the bottom in place and everything. the clip that is removable seems to not be doing anything at all. is there any help on make the clip work more effectively? thanks and yes ive been here long enough to know to search and i havent got a straight answer

Re: broke hose removal (DelSolMarine)
Are you removing stock or aftermarket lines?
The stock ones - if you look where they slide into the bracket welded to the frame - have one flat spot that locks into the bracket. then you put the spring clip in to hold it in place. I just removed 4 brake lines today and replaced them - not to mention all the other times I've done it - and it's never spun.
Take a closer look and you should quickly see what I'm talking about. GL
