breaks squeeking

I checked my breaks and still have about 85% of the pad left...

does any one kno why it still squeeks??

squeeking doesnt always mean your brakes are bad. if your pads are fine then you got nothing to worry about and it will probably go away at some point.

It depends on the noise,

One possibility is when the calipers slide over the disk they make a noise then.

Or you may just have noisy pads that make noise everytime they engage the disk. Normally caused by corriosion being cleaned away.

Either way theres a compound you should put on when installing pads to help stop that noise in the first place. however it wont help if its from the pads making contact with the rotor or drums.

You shouldn't just let **** go untill it stops..

You need to grease/lubricate the contact points of the brake pad.. make sure you don't have a caliper sticking either.
