Brand New R motor/EG hatch 1/4 mile times...
i know i hate when people ask me what kind of times their car will run with this mod...and that mod...etc.
however...i want to know what kind of times people have run with good running R motors in hatchbacks.
my setup will be as follows, and it will be running tomorrow.
Brand New R Cylinder Head (b18c5)
Brand New R Block (b18c5)
OEM headgasket
P30 Intake Manifold
B16A throttle Body
JDM ITR Transmission
4.78 FD
tuned properly with hondata or at least with a vafc in a few weeks...
what kind of times have some of the guys on here run with a similar setup?
i have full interior in my 92 civic hatchback and its a dx.
thanks, chet

brand new b18c5 longblock. . . that must be so nice. 13.8 sounds about right in a full interior eg. What tires/wheels, bolts ons?

if i don't go 13.2's i'm going to be upset.
a friend of mine with b16a head/R bottom end went 13.2's with gsr transmission and OPEN differential.
and i went 14.5's with 142whp on vx wheels with 2.2 60 ft...and would have gone faster with the p30 ecu i switched to a few weeks after that.
as i made 152whp with p30 ecu over skunk2 chipped p28 ecu.
so again, i want 13.20's...
and i want to run 13.20's on 15inch falken azeni's.

screw the azenis for drag... get something with a softer sidewall like BFgoodrich or something. You should hit lower than a 13.8. I hit a 13.8 in a DX coupe with a USDM B18C1, open exhaust cut out and CTR cams.

I was wondering if I could find out what your guy's method's are for launching on street tires with a b18c5 motor "modified or not" ? Like what RPM, type of clutch you have, tire pressure, how do you use the clutch? And what 60' and 1/4 or 1/8 that got you. Please be detailed thanks.
